The King's meaningless message
His statement commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 7/7 attacks is a masterclass in fatuous garbage
King Charles has called on people to stand united "against those who would seek to divide us", in a message marking the 20th anniversary of the 7th July attacks in London.
On this day, four suicide bombers targeted the city’s public transport system during the morning rush hour. Three bombs detonated almost simultaneously on underground trains at Aldgate, Edgware Road, and Russell Square. A fourth explosion occurred less than an hour later on a bus in Tavistock Square. These were the deadliest terrorist attacks in British history, in a country that knows a thing or two about terrorist attacks, with 52 people killed and 770 injured.
So, what does His Majesty mean by ‘those who seek to divide us’? Is he referring, perhaps, to bolshy pollsters? Extremely vigorous statisticians? Or maybe it’s the actions of fanatical dispensationalists that have led him to warn us of possible dangers?
No, of course not. We all know what he means. He means that we shouldn’t ever acknowledge that the murderers of that day were driven by Islamism as their credo. That their hatred for our values and way of life was so all-consuming that it drove them to kill as many people as possible who were just trying to get to work. Christians, Hindus and, yes, Muslims (they would simply be seen as collateral damage – and, what the hell, they should be grateful for being martyred anyway).
Nowhere does the King mention the ideology of the perpetrators. He merely states:
"While the horrors will never be forgotten, we may take comfort from the way such events rally communities together in solidarity, solace and determination. It is this spirit of unity that has helped London, and our nation, to heal."
Sorry, what - our nation to heal?! You think lighting candles and singing ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ is going to make up for the total failure to stand up for ourselves in the face of languid multiculturalism? It’s precisely this form of controlled spontaneity that has led to the flourishing of a fanatical ideology which threatens us all. It smells fear in the other and goes for the jugular.
It has also meant that more and more ordinary people are becoming radicalised, because they know when they’re being lied to. They sense the spin government agencies and the mainstream media are putting on stories in order that they stay in their lane and don ‘t get angry. And if they do, the state comes down on them like a ton of bricks.
That the home secretary has lumped in the spectre of the far right in a statement meant to commemorate the 7/7 attacks comes as no surprise. It is as predictable as it is crass. To say that she is obsessed with the far right is an understatement, even though Islamism is responsible for 94% of deaths at the hands of terrorists since 1999, and comprises 80% of CT police’s workload.
But the King? This is a new low. I know he had to say something, but this is so obviously the work of some Home Office mandarin, it slaps you in the face. And in a bid not to offend those who never conciliate, it just ends up offending everyone else, but I guess that doesn’t matter.
Our nation isn’t healing; it’s deteriorating.
I’ve been watching the service all day and listening to all the speakers. I’m disgusted but not surprised to learn that terrorist attacks are actually good for us! Apparently, they make our communities stronger! I’ve got news - they bloody don’t and nor do we forget. These terrorist attacks were behind the summer riots and they will be the reason for any upcoming civil unrest. We don’t forget when people try to kill us.
Charles always was delusional. Neither his mother nor his father thought he was fit to be King
